What is Collective Membership?

Collective membership of �ٸ����� is open to national and regional associations recognized by the �ٸ����� Executive Committee as being representative of political science in their respective countries or regions. Associations must be open to all, regardless of academic, gender or social status, on a membership basis, and represent most regions and universities of their respective countries or groups of countries within a region.

Each collective member is represented on �ٸ�����’s central governing organ, the �ٸ����� Council, by one, two or three members. The �ٸ����� Council lays down broad policy guidelines for the Association and elects the �ٸ����� Executive Committee, which is charged with responsibility for the conduct of the affairs of �ٸ����� between congresses.

Collective members of �ٸ����� pay an annual contribution fee based on a table of payments approved by the �ٸ����� Council.
